Pronto
is my dream dog (Lock- Eye Evel Knievel CGC, NA, NAJ). He is a Brick and Patches
son born in Sept 2003. I was very blessed to be able to have first pick of the
two litters Michelle had at the time, and I feel like I got the perfect dog for
me! Thanks to all those who counseled me on how to pick a dog with the characteristics
that I wanted. I got them all by the way! My two trips to OK to find this dog
paid off. With out knowing it, I have been preparing for Pronto for the 8
years I've been doing agility. I thought I was ready for him many years ago, but
now I know I was not! He is everything I have dreamed of and wanted for myself.
He is intelligent, intense, biddable, social and has all the drive to work in
the world. Not to mention he is gorgeous:. I don't know how to explain it other
than to say that I have been accustomed to agility Volvo's and Pronto is an agility
Corvette
Anyway, we were forced to take agility training very slowly due
to my pregnancy during his first year of life. I do believe that this was a good
thing for Pronto and I! My daughter is his best bud and boy is he cute with her.
Out of all my dogs, he is the one who wants to be in my lap. I do believe I have
seen this cuddle trait quite regularly in Michelle's dogs. One of his best qualities
is that he can go from full intensity in play to snuggling up and kissing in an
instant if asked to, and then it's right back to work. His toy drive is exactly
what I wanted as well. It was there from the time I met him at 7 weeks. Right
now we're showing in AKC Open (we need one more Standard leg but Jumpers is another
thing all together:) and have done a few USDAA trials (he has a bunch of legs
in Novice). My focus has not been on Qualifying, but on keeping his hydraulic
rear end on the line! He is the most enthusiastic dog I think I know! We're looking
forward to the rest of this spring/summer showing and then we'll have to take
another break for another human baby! On the advice of several of those "in
the know" we are contemplating hitting the breed ring, but we shall see
I thank Michelle for breeding such a lovely boy. He just might be my once
in a lifetime dog! My husband seconds that! Audrey
